Julie McDonald
B. Ed., Cert. of Primary Drama and Mime

The Director of the Drama Studio is Julie McDonald.

Julie trained at Moray House College and taught as both a primary school teacher and a drama specialist before setting up the Drama Studio in 1993. Julie attributes much of her success to her integrated experience as a Counsellor in Canadian Summer Camps.

Julie plays guitar and has extensive skills in writing and directing children’s plays and musical productions. Julie also provides drama in-service training for primary teachers in Edinburgh.

Louise Arbuckle
B. Ed(Hons), B.Tech(Technical Skills in Live Entertainment)

Louise trained at Moray House College and since then has worked as a primary school teacher and as a leader in Out of School projects. In her leisure time Louise takes part in Amateur Dramatics paricularly with The Bohemians performing annually at The King's Theatre and The Edinburgh Fringe.

 Her skills include drama, singing, dancing and she also plays piano and woodwind. Louise provides for The Drama Studio a programme for Nursery Education and Themed Parties. Louise is  a sound and lighting consultant. and also works in computer presentation design.

Linda Grant
MA History Hons, TEFL

Linda's dance talent and experience was largely gained at her parent's Dance School wher she became especially drawn to Modern and Latin styles. Linda has performed with many Theatre companies and has used Drama techniques to teach English in Japan. Linda 's lively personality and musical ability ensure upbeat delivery of her drama and dance workshops !

Sylvia Shaw - Secretary and Classroom Assistant

Sylvia provides for The Drama Studio administrative support  and  First Aid assisstance. The Drama Studio is very different from work in the chemists !
