THE MUSICAL COMPILATIONS These are themed musical shows include presentation and choreography notes, suggestions for musical backing tracks, backdrop artwork, programmes etc. Our aim has been to give young people experience of different kinds of music and to merge this with their own musical culture where possible. Backing tracks ,while never replacing the marvel of a live orchestra do make shows possible for lower budgets, timescales and ease of use. Suitable for large numbers of children taking part. Please note that due to copyright restrictions we can only suggest music. You may have to pay a Performing Rights fee and obtain a Phonographic licence to play recorded music to an audience. Musical Compilations cost £8 each + VAT. Paintbox A musical based around the idea of colour.  Music from The Musicals Songs from a wide range of different types of musicals enjoyed by young people everywhere linked by presenters and short drama sketches.  Latin Nights A fun, colourful carnival show with salsa dancing to cha cha rhythms in traditional and modern music.  Country Capers Featuring song and dance from America, Ireland, Scotland, Spain. China and Africa. 11 suggested pieces with compere script and dance notation.  Sentimental Journey This show features songs that will evoke your audiences’ memories whilst still appealing to young people thanks in part to Robbie Williams.  The Best Years of Our Lives This show takes us through our childhood years, the games we play both for fun and in real life. We consider our moods, naïve visions of the future, the choices and decisions we will make. The introductions are done through selected poems. Works well with a mixed age group.  That Jazz A collection of numbers from Jazzy musicals introduced by “Gangsters”. Children can select from their favourite musicals but this is an example of what worked well for us again with a wide range of ages and capabilities.  Thankyou For The Music Songs from the 60’s and 70’s give this show a blast from the past feel but all our chosen songs are catchy and contrasting.  |
