This lesson looks at one of several stories about Pele, Hawaiian Goddes of Fire.
Students will learn about the fiery temperament of the Goddess and her story of banishment and destruction and final rise from the dead.They will learn how the Goddess is still revered today and how the contradictions in her character are interpreted and connect with the volcano.
Key drama skills are improvisation, tableau, mime, some start -up script, dance moves, configuration and lots of music suggestions to bring Pele's story to life.
